Bible classes for the 2009 fall semester are now set to go. Classes will begin on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 and on Sunday, September 13, 2009. Please look over the courses being offered and sign up during fellowship hour. Our goal is to have a minimum of 10 in each class and a maximum of 30. Please plan accordingly and sign up today.
Another BIBLE INFORMATION CLASS will begin on Saturday, March 6th. This class will be held in a workshop format beginning at 9:00 am till 11:00 am. God-willing, we should be able to finish the course before the beginning of summer. Please sign up in the lobby.
“The Christian Family: God’s Design, Our Service” A new adult class offered in 2010 is led by Dr. Dennis Gulczynski. The start date is January 10, 2010 at 9:15 AM. "Click here" for the meeting place and a course description.
Review of Doctrine Class This class is a review of the basic doctrines of God’s Word. It is intended for prospective members, all parents of this year’s kindergarten class, and any other interested member. Classes will be offered on Wednesday nights. The pastors will be the teachers.
The Theology of the Cross This class is a review and discussion of a book written by Professor Daniel Deustchlander. It takes a look at the challenges and comfort of God’s people living underneath the cross! You will not be disappointed digging into the spiritual “meat” this book has to offer.
New Testament Bible History This class will take a look at important Bible lessons from the New Testament. From the birth of the Savior to his Ascension into heaven, this class will give opportunity to review God’s amazing grace through the Savior’s life, death, and resurrection. This class will be offered on Sunday and Wednesday mornings.
Sermon Study Breakfast Bible Class Do you want to get more out of the Sunday morning worship and sermon? Then this is the class for you! Every Wednesday morning from 6:30 am to 7:30 am the pastor who is preaching will lead you through a “sermon text study” in preparation for Sunday. The coffee and doughnuts will be good too!
Moms’ and Ladies’ Bible Class There are two classes designed just for our ladies. On Tuesday morning’s there will be a “moms’” Bible class from 8 until 9. This fall the topic will be a study of the book of Ruth. Jill Doering will be the teacher.
A Walk Through the Bible On Wednesday mornings from 8 until 10, there will be a ladies’ Bible class which will be a walk through the Bible. This class is to answer doubts, concerns, or questions one may have about the truth of Scripture and is intended for people who are looking for a home church or just need some “rejuvenation.” If you know of someone like that bring her along. Dana Malchow will be teaching the class.
Teen Bible Class A teen Bible class will be offered between services on Sunday morning. Teachers and topics will be announced later. All teens are invited and encouraged to attend.
Review of the Catechism On Wednesday evenings, this class is especially designed for the parents of our 7th grade confirmation students. As 7th graders begin their final two years of preparation for confirmation, this 8 week course will help parents to help their students review the basic Bible teachings through Luther’s Small Catechism.
Home Bible Studies We are offering home Bible study again this year. The number of classes will be determined by the number signing up. More details will follow.
