FALL BIBLE CLASSES
The following is a list of some of the classes planned for this fall.  If you are interested, please sign up in the lobby of church. Please note those being taught on Sunday mornings are between services. Classes begin Sunday, September 11.

BIBLE CLASS FOR ADULTS:  (This class will be taught on Sunday mornings between services.) It will take a look at “Bible Translations” and consider such questions as, “What do we look for in a translation?”, “Why are there changes?” and “What’s the issue with gender inclusive language?”  We will also take a look at the 2011 NIV.  The class will also be offered on Wednesdays at 9:00 a.m. starting September 14.

TWO NEW BIBLE CLASSES will begin Sunday, October 16.  Pastor Rath will be teaching a class on the Minor prophets Nahum, Habakkuk and Zephaniah (school library) and Pastor McKenney will be teaching a Bible class on Paul’s two letters to the Thessalonians (chapel). 

BIBLE INFORMATION CLASS/REVIEW OF DOCTRINE:  (Taught by Pastor McKenney on Monday nights from 7:30 pm.)  This class begins Monday, September 19 and offers a basic review of the doctrines of Scripture, but there is nothing “basic” about it.   This class is intended for those who would like to learn what we teach on the basis of God’s Word or for current members who would like to brush up on their knowledge of Scripture.

BREAKFAST BIBLE CLASS:  (Taught by the pastors every Wednesday morning from 6:30 am to 7:30 am.)  Each week the pastor who is preaching leads this class in a study of the sermon text for the coming Sunday.  Not only will you learn more about God’s Word, you will get even more out of your weekly worship.  Come and be fed in body and spirit.

Teen Bible Class   A teen Bible class will be offered between services on Sunday morning.  Teachers and topics will be announced later.  All teens are invited and encouraged to attend.

Mom’s Bible Class meets every Tuesday morning at 8:00-9:00 AM in the school library beginning September 13. Click on link for details.

Men’s Breakfast Bible Class meets at 6:30 AM on Tuesdays.

BIBLE INFORMATION CLASS
We are looking to offer a new session of the Bible Information Class.  Individuals interested in learning more about the teaching of God’s Word, whether preparing for membership or as a review, are welcome to attend.  The class will meet on Saturday mornings, 9-11 a.m., beginning February 18.  If you or someone you know is interested, please sign up in the church lobby or contact the office.

NEW BIBLE CLASS
When our regular Bible studies resume on Sunday, February 12, a new class will be offered on the epistle of James.  This class will meet in the school library.  James has been called “a course in practical Christianity”.  Join us at 9:15 a.m. to study this epistle and its message for us today.
