THANK YOU FOR THE LWMS MISSION OFFERING

St. Paul gave $224.25 toward the mission projects at the CAPITAL CIRCUIT LWMS Fall Meeting at St. Andrew, Middleton on October 20, 2007 at 12 Noon.

Joining with other members of our circuit $2033.25 was gathered and distributed as follows.

CAPITOL CIRCUIT -- 75%:   $1524.93
This was divided evenly between the World and Home Missions.

  • Home Mission - $762.47
    Vicars in Mission Settings
This program allows a seminary student to receive field training with a missionary in the actual mission setting.
  • World Mission - $762.47
    Multi-Language Publication Project: The Promise
The Promise is a colorful 16-page booklet that tells the story of salvation from Genesis to Revelation in 33 different languages.  More are being translated.

NATIONAL LWMS – 25%:   $508.31
This donation is added to the gifts from all the other circuits in the LWMS and distributed next June at the National Convention in Tucson, AZ.

Also our speaker for the day was Pastor Mark Jeske of the Time of Grace Ministry from St. Marcus Lutheran Church of Milwaukee.  The devotion offering is given to the speaker’s choice.  Pastor Jeske chose the Time of Grace Ministry.  This offering totaled $2,485. This is another way our dear Lord gives up the opportunity to spread the Good News of His salvation to others who may not have heard His Saving Message.  Thank you!
