Fix Our Eyes on Jesus

ST. PAUL LUTHERAN SCHOOL

February 2012

CHURCH ATTENDANCE
“We love, because He first loved us.”  1 John 4:19

For the past several months we have been talking about the importance of church attendance for our school families.  Trust me, when a child is enrolled at St. Paul School, they will hear on a daily basis how important worship attendance is every week.  And, I can also guarantee that if the home doesn’t take weekly worship seriously, the child is left to wonder, “Who’s right?  My teacher who says we need to be in church every week or my parents who don’t take me?  Maybe it’s not that important to hear God’s Word?”
For all the God-pleasing reasons we have discussed, weekly worship is the standard at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran School.  To be sure, we all understand that sickness occurs and from time to time we may be out of town.  Also, situations that involve parental visitation requires our understanding and extra care and concern.  But the Lord has blessed our congregation with the ability to have four regular services each week with a timeslot that will accommodate almost every schedule.
By our church membership and by enrolling our children in St. Paul School, you have already confessed that God’s Word is our highest priority.  May God bless you as you commit yourself to Christ and your child by making every week worship a part of your child’s Christian education and part of your family’s life.

THAT’S ODD…SAFE…but ODD! (Annual Reminder for Safety) Just thought we’d remind members of school procedures: "click" for parking alert!

For children’s safety….1) NEW THIS YEAR . . . Busses drop off children curbside by the sidewalk in the south parking lot. 2) Cars travel one-way counterclockwise around the north parking loop. 3) Cars parked to stay a length of time, use the north parking lot stalls. the south blacktop area is used as a playground, not as a parking lot during school hours 4) At all other school day times & during weekends (for funerals, Power Hour, midweek Bible classes & weekend worship) the parking lot turns back into a traditional mode with standard procedures. Yes that’s odd…but we’ve found it to be child safe!
